Expensify handles corporate T&E and approval workflows. QuickBooks Self-Employed serves gig workers and solo freelancers. FreshBooks is strong for agencies tracking time. Wave is the right answer when budget is the primary constraint.
Where they all fall short for fractional executives: none combine AR aging, retainer invoicing, Schedule C tax estimates, and a year-end CPA pack in a single flat-rate product. That combination is what we built.
